“Reprise” is a music video shot for Belinda Lui at Magnolia Artistries. Filmed at the magnificent Villa Alba in Kew with a small crew and in chilly conditions, I think we achieved the requisite amount of spookiness. Link to video coming soon.
Oz Rock. That is all. Watch it here.
New showreel. I’m excited.
Late last year I was contacted by NZONSCREEN. They were enquiring about a music video I’d directed over 20 years ago for the band Weta. A copy was requested for their archives but before sending it off, I reconnected with VFX artist Mike Gordon in order to polish up the original master for a new audience.
You can find the clip for the track, “Calling On” and a description of the redux process here. Many thanks to Imogen Porter and Ian Pryor from NZONSCREEN for instigating and collaborating on the project.
About to release a new clip. Photograph by Jacob Simkin.
Lockdown was fun wasn’t it? I spent some time familiarising myself with the local neighbourhood. Check out the new shots in the Photography section of the site if you are so inclined.
Here’s a recent edit I did for the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV), where Victoria’s Councils show their support for artists during COVID-19. The video is a thank you to all those artists who contribute to making our communities stronger particularly in times of crises. You can see it here.
“Victorian councils support artists and their work because we know that the Arts and Our Culture are Essential”.
I just directed, photographed and edited a clip for Mantis and the Prayer, an independent, Melbourne based band. The track is titled, “I Know You”. Every good murder ballad deserves an Hills Hoist and a dart board. You can watch it here.
I recently worked with Annie McIntyre on a video where she interviews two generations of Australian architects from the one family. Peter McIntyre and Mel Bright discuss the effects of COVID-19 and the looming recession on their businesses. Check it out here or during the upcoming Open House Melbourne, Digital Architectural Festival.
